Marshall has been first called on a mission 119 times.Most birds like Marshall, including Fuzzy and Chickaletta.Despite getting over his fear of flying, he has admitted in " Sea Patrol: Pups Save the Flying Diving Bell" that when it comes to flying, he gets a little chicken.This means he has overcome this fear and has no problem flying anymore. As of " Air Pups", he was okay with his jetpack and Air Patrol gear.He can climb his ladder just fine and as Skye pointed out in "Pup Pup Goose", he climbed to the roof of the train station. However, Marshall doesn't appear to be afraid of heights on their own.This was also hinted in " Pup Pup Goose" when he was being lifted from Skye's helicopter ( pteromerhanophobia). It was revealed in " Pups Save a Toof" that Marshall was afraid of flying.He's the first pup to own one, Chase being second, Skye being third.In " Pups in a Fog", it is revealed that Marshall sleeps with a teddy bear.Some fans have claimed that he does it on purpose to cheer up the pups.The other pups sometimes avoid the impact.resulting the pups to be piled on him, getting tied around with Skye with a jump rope ("Pups Save a Surprise"), Marshall flying into the elevator on a snowboard he couldn't get out of (" Pups on Ice"), etc. Examples are but not limited to tripping into the elevator, paw patroller, air patroller, sea patroller, etc.There has been many times where Marshall gets one/two or all the pups in his mishap when being called a rescue/mission and replying with a pun.
This has been a running gag since the beginning of the series. Marshall usually crashes at the elevator, typically referred to as a "wipeout".In " Ready Race Rescue", he idolizes The Whoosh.He does it again in " Dancing with Luke Stars".Marshall can do a tail spin, but usually falls in the end, until the episode " Pup-Fu!", where he did a tail spin perfectly without any failure.In " Pup a Doodle Do" he was involved with Ryder "breaking the fourth wall".Marshall is the first pup to need help from the PAW Patrol (" Pups Fight Fire").He is the second pup to play two roles ("Firefighter" and "EMT").Adding them altogether, Marshall has 43 spots.
